The 2026 London Local Skills Improvement Plan (for 2026–2029), led by BusinessLDN jointly with the Mayor of London/Greater London Authority (GLA) and the four sub-regional partnerships, is an employer-led plan aligning training provision with employer demand across the capital. It focuses on six priority sectors — creative, hospitality, the built environment, health and social care, plus two newly added sectors (life sciences and financial and professional services) aligned with the London Growth Plan and the Modern Industrial Strategy — and three cross-cutting themes: digital skills (including AI), green skills, and labour market inclusion.
